Instructional Designer

Executive Solutions Training Ltd has an urgent requirement for an Instructional Designer with experienced of developing web-based courses. Interested applicants must understand how to create web-based training and have experience in instructional design and use of instructional technology.

Tasks to be undertaken by the Instructional Designer include:

• Design and develop instructor-led training program and online help for ecourse.
• Develop ecourse W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines1.0 Level Double-A Conformance.
• Optimised display of course content for 1024 x 768 screens, so no or minimal scrolling is required.
• Use high contrast colours for navigation between screens.
• Build in navigation features that will support use of a mouse and the tab to move between screens.
• The colour and size of agreed font should be generated using cascading style sheets.
• Ensure that all information is consistent, easy to understand, and well organised.
• Design frames and layout instructional material for finance ecourse that will be offered to business owners, Advisers, Budget Holders among others.
• Proofread and edit own work to improve quality, readability, consistency and effectiveness of content
• Use current experience with and knowledge of author training and project tools to prepare Computer Based (CBT) and Web Based Training (WBT) projects.
• Use of suitable software, e.g., Flash, to create diagrams that can be reduced or enlarged by learners.
• Packaging’ of final digital product for Moodle delivery.
• Where audio resources are provided, online text script to be prepared also.
